Project Rasengan Anime series — Project Rasengan Wiki

---

Quick answer

The anime under Project Rasengan is the limited NARUTO x NINKU crossover series, supervised by Masashi Kishimoto together with NINKU creator Koji Kiriyama. It was announced at New York Comic Con 2026, and its premiere date is still officially listed as TBA. This page covers Anime series with confirmed facts only.

Because the initiative is broader than a single game, this page separates what is confirmed from what remains unannounced. The card game is the clearest timed release. The anime and mobile projects still need official dates.

Official status

Project Rasengan is not an invented fan label. It is the official umbrella used for the NARUTO franchise revival. The four projects are meant to span anime, manga, trading cards, and mobile gaming over a long-term roadmap.

The NARUTO x NINKU anime is a limited crossover series supervised by Masashi Kishimoto together with NINKU author Koji Kiriyama. SHADOW RISING is a new manga project drawn by Kishimoto. The card game and mobile game extend the franchise into tabletop and mobile play.

• NARUTO x NINKU limited anime: Supervised by Masashi Kishimoto and NINKU author Koji Kiriyama. Premiere date: TBA.
• SHADOW RISING manga: A new manga project drawn by Masashi Kishimoto. Details: Jump Festa 2027, Dec 19-20, 2026.
• NARUTO CARD GAME: Worldwide launch confirmed for June 2027. Deck: 51 main cards + 5 Chakra cards + 1 Summon card.
• NARUTO mobile WORLDWIDE: In development. No release date, no confirmed preregistration.
• Roadmap: Announced at New York Comic Con 2026 and planned across 2027-2029.

Release timing

NARUTO CARD GAME is confirmed for June 2027 worldwide. SHADOW RISING details are scheduled for Jump Festa 2027 on December 19-20, 2026. No public premiere date is available for the NARUTO x NINKU anime.

NARUTO mobile WORLDWIDE is in development, but official materials do not include a release date or preregistration link. Treat every other date you see elsewhere as unverified until NARUTO's official channels confirm it.

Why it matters

For fans searching Project Rasengan anime series, the important point is the structure: four projects, not one platform. That distinction matters for release tracking, because manga, anime, cards, and mobile game announcements will not all arrive together.

The card game's June 2027 launch gives the roadmap a firm anchor. Jump Festa 2027 gives the manga a concrete next update point. The anime and mobile projects have status and creative details, but dates remain TBA.

How to follow updates

The safest sources are the official Project Rasengan page, NARUTO's official site and X account, the official YouTube channel, and the NARUTO CARD GAME site. For the mobile project, the official Instagram/X account is the relevant channel.

When a new announcement appears, check three things: whether the source is official, whether the date is explicit, and whether the announcement names the exact project. That helps avoid mixing rumors from different NARUTO projects.

Practical next steps

If you want a starting point, read the beginner guide for the whole initiative, then bookmark the release schedule page. If you care about the card game, study the deck structure and card types before the global launch.

If your main interest is the manga, wait for Jump Festa 2027 details. If you care about the anime, treat the crossover's creative team as confirmed but the date as unannounced.

The NARUTO x NINKU crossover at a glance

If you searched for Anime series, start with the confirmed facts below. NARUTO x NINKU is a limited anime series announced under Project Rasengan at New York Comic Con 2026. It crosses over the two series and is supervised by Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of NARUTO. The project was revealed alongside the manga, card game, and mobile game.

The word "limited" matters: this is a bounded project rather than an open-ended new series. Official materials have not published an episode count. The premiere date is listed as TBA everywhere the project appears on official channels.

The creative team

Supervision is shared by Masashi Kishimoto and Koji Kiriyama, the author of NINKU. That pairing puts the original NARUTO creator directly in charge of a crossover with another series from his era. Official comment artwork from Kiriyama was released with the announcement.

For fans, the significance is authorship. This is not a licensed side project; it is a creator-led crossover under the official revival umbrella. More staff details are expected as the premiere approaches, but only the two named creators are confirmed so far.

Where to watch official previews

The official teaser is available on NARUTO's official YouTube channel, and the Project Rasengan hub page embeds it. The hub also hosts the main PROJECT RASENGAN launch trailer and the teasers for the other three projects. All of these are official uploads.

Reuploads on social platforms often compress or cut footage, and some mix in fan edits. Watching from the official channel guarantees the intended quality and wording. If a "new trailer" appears elsewhere, check the official channel before treating it as real.

What is still unconfirmed

The premiere date, episode count, streaming platform, and voice cast are all unannounced. The exact length and format of the limited series have not been described beyond the word "limited." International distribution plans have not been detailed either.

Given that the initiative runs through 2029, these gaps should fill gradually. The official hub is the place where confirmation will appear first. Until then, this page keeps those items marked as TBA.

Common mistakes to avoid

A frequent mistake is assuming a streaming platform for the NARUTO x NINKU anime. No platform has been announced, so any listing is speculation. Distribution details will come from official channels first.

Another error is guessing an episode count from the word "limited." The term describes scope, not length. The official materials have not published a number, and none should be assumed.
