Masashi kishimoto new manga 2026 — Project Rasengan Wiki

---

Quick answer

The manga under Project Rasengan is SHADOW RISING, an all-new series drawn by Masashi Kishimoto. It was announced at New York Comic Con 2026, with further details scheduled for Jump Festa 2027 on December 19-20, 2026. Here is the confirmed status of Masashi kishimoto new manga 2026.

Because the initiative is broader than a single game, this page separates what is confirmed from what remains unannounced. The card game is the clearest timed release. The anime and mobile projects still need official dates.

Official status

Project Rasengan is not an invented fan label. It is the official umbrella used for the NARUTO franchise revival. The four projects are meant to span anime, manga, trading cards, and mobile gaming over a long-term roadmap.

The NARUTO x NINKU anime is a limited crossover series supervised by Masashi Kishimoto together with NINKU author Koji Kiriyama. SHADOW RISING is a new manga project drawn by Kishimoto. The card game and mobile game extend the franchise into tabletop and mobile play.

• NARUTO x NINKU limited anime: Supervised by Masashi Kishimoto and NINKU author Koji Kiriyama. Premiere date: TBA.
• SHADOW RISING manga: A new manga project drawn by Masashi Kishimoto. Details: Jump Festa 2027, Dec 19-20, 2026.
• NARUTO CARD GAME: Worldwide launch confirmed for June 2027. Deck: 51 main cards + 5 Chakra cards + 1 Summon card.
• NARUTO mobile WORLDWIDE: In development. No release date, no confirmed preregistration.
• Roadmap: Announced at New York Comic Con 2026 and planned across 2027-2029.

Release timing

NARUTO CARD GAME is confirmed for June 2027 worldwide. SHADOW RISING details are scheduled for Jump Festa 2027 on December 19-20, 2026. No public premiere date is available for the NARUTO x NINKU anime.

NARUTO mobile WORLDWIDE is in development, but official materials do not include a release date or preregistration link. Treat every other date you see elsewhere as unverified until NARUTO's official channels confirm it.

Why it matters

For fans searching Project Rasengan Masashi Kishimoto new manga 2026, the important point is the structure: four projects, not one platform. That distinction matters for release tracking, because manga, anime, cards, and mobile game announcements will not all arrive together.

The card game's June 2027 launch gives the roadmap a firm anchor. Jump Festa 2027 gives the manga a concrete next update point. The anime and mobile projects have status and creative details, but dates remain TBA.

How to follow updates

The safest sources are the official Project Rasengan page, NARUTO's official site and X account, the official YouTube channel, and the NARUTO CARD GAME site. For the mobile project, the official Instagram/X account is the relevant channel.

When a new announcement appears, check three things: whether the source is official, whether the date is explicit, and whether the announcement names the exact project. That helps avoid mixing rumors from different NARUTO projects.

Practical next steps

If you want a starting point, read the beginner guide for the whole initiative, then bookmark the release schedule page. If you care about the card game, study the deck structure and card types before the global launch.

If your main interest is the manga, wait for Jump Festa 2027 details. If you care about the anime, treat the crossover's creative team as confirmed but the date as unannounced.

SHADOW RISING at a glance

Here is the confirmed breakdown for Masashi kishimoto new manga 2026, based on official sources only. SHADOW RISING is an all-new manga drawn by Masashi Kishimoto, announced under Project Rasengan at New York Comic Con 2026. It is the manga pillar of the four-project revival. Further details are scheduled to be revealed at Jump Festa 2027, on December 19-20, 2026.

The title, the author, and the reveal window are the three facts confirmed so far. Story details, the serialization platform, and a start date are not yet public. Official materials present it as the next manga work from NARUTO's original creator.

Why Kishimoto's return matters

Masashi Kishimoto created NARUTO and supervised later projects, but a fully new manga he draws himself is a different level of involvement. SHADOW RISING puts the original author back on the drawing board for the revival. That is the core of why the announcement drew immediate attention.

It also signals the revival's direction. Instead of only extending existing series, Project Rasengan includes a brand-new work from the original creator. Combined with the crossover anime and new games, the plan covers both legacy and new content.

Where updates will appear

Jump Festa 2027 on December 19-20, 2026 is the next scheduled reveal point. The official hub and NARUTO's official X account will carry the news, and the official YouTube channel posted a super teaser with the announcement. VIZ also published an official trailer for North American audiences.

After Jump Festa, the serialization platform and schedule should clarify where chapters will appear. Until then, any claimed "first chapter" or scan report should be treated skeptically. Official first reveals will come through the channels above.

What is still unconfirmed

The story premise, main characters, serialization location, chapter schedule, and simultaneous release plans are all unannounced. Even the format, whether a series or another structure, has not been specified. The Jump Festa stage is the expected place where most of these questions get answers.

For now, the confirmed facts are the title, the author, and the December reveal window. This page will track the Jump Festa announcements and mark anything else as unconfirmed.

Common mistakes to avoid

A common mistake is expecting chapters before the serialization details are revealed. The title, author, and Jump Festa 2027 reveal window are confirmed, but the platform and schedule are not. Reading plans come after that announcement.

Another error is treating title rumors as real. SHADOW RISING is the confirmed title from the official teaser. Any alternative title found on social media is speculation until the official channels repeat it.
